A quieter chapter, still unfolding.

Angela Nuran spent more than two decades designing bridal and special-occasion shoes, guided by a single quiet promise: that a woman should never have to choose between a beautiful shoe and a comfortable one. Brides danced in them. Mothers wore them through long receptions. For years, customers sent photos long after the wedding day.

In late 2024, the storefront closed and Angela stepped into retirement. The shoes are still out there in the world, in a few wonderful boutiques, and the conversations about weddings, comfort, and grace continue. This site carries them forward as the Angela Nuran blog, a slower, gentler place for those stories to live on.

Today the site is operated and written by Erik Kreider, the designer and head writer behind the Angela Nuran blog. Angela's original articles, first-person history, and customer stories are preserved here in her own words. Newer articles published since her retirement are credited to both Angela and Erik, carrying her approach to comfort and elegance forward.

The writers

Angela Nuran designed bridal and special occasion shoes for more than two decades after working as a wedding dance instructor. Her original articles and the brand history on Our Story describe her design approach in her own voice. She retired in late 2024 and does not personally review current articles.

Erik Kreider designs and maintains this website and writes and edits current articles. He is not a medical, legal, or footwear professional. Articles that discuss health, safety, or money link to the outside sources they rely on, and product mentions are based on research rather than personal testing unless an article says otherwise.

How we handle articles

• Original publication dates are kept. An "Updated" date appears only after a substantive revision.
