About

A quieter chapter, still unfolding.

Angela Nuran

Angela Nuran spent more than two decades designing bridal and special-occasion shoes, guided by a single quiet promise: that a woman should never have to choose between a beautiful shoe and a comfortable one. Brides danced in them. Mothers wore them through long receptions. For years, customers sent photos long after the wedding day.

In late 2024, the storefront closed and Angela stepped into retirement. The shoes are still out there in the world, in a few wonderful boutiques, and the conversations about weddings, comfort, and grace continue. This site carries them forward as the Angela Nuran blog, a slower, gentler place for those stories to live on.

Today, our editorial team keeps that spirit going. Rather than any single voice, our writers publish new articles and style and comfort resources inspired by the brand's legacy of comfortable elegance: wedding and fashion guides, footwear notes, and the small details that make a celebration feel right.

What the blog covers

  • Wedding planning, etiquette, and the questions brides actually ask
  • Comfort, fit, and the long-standing love affair between dancers and good shoes
  • Real weddings, real customers, and the stories shared with the brand over the years
  • Fashion, footwear, and the small everyday beauty of getting ready

If you'd like to read the long version of how all of this began, you can find our story here. And if you ever want to say hello, we'd love that.
